The Southern Indiana Operators Association was established in 1972 as an organization consisting of wastewater operators, lab technicians, supervisors, engineers, sales representatives and other in South Central and South Eastern Indiana. We offer an excellent forum for you to meet with other professionals in the wastewater treatment field to exchange and discuss new ideas, technologies, developments, techniques and rules and regulations.
Every wastewater treatment operator is required to obtain 20 CEU's over a 2 year period. 70% of these CEU's must be for technical development. At each SIOA meeting (held once a month) operators are eligible to receive CEU's for a wastewater plant tour and also a presentation given by one of your colleagues over a variety of wastewater topics. Almost 100% of the CEUs received through the SIOA meetings are elegible for technical development.
In addition to meeting your professional needs, SIOA also offers an annual summer picnic, a golf outing in September and an Annual Awards Banquet held in December.
For only $6.00 per year, you can become a member and join the fun! We welcome anyone working for or retired from operation or management within the wastewater treatment field, either public, private or industrial. Manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, consultants and other interested parties are welcome to join as an Associate member for $15.00 per year.
